BIM in focus on IPHA Technical Seminar

The bi-annual IPHA Technical Seminar was held under the headline ‘HOLLOWCORE DESIGN & BIM’ on October 21 and 22 2015.

The two-days Technical Seminar was held in the grand new hotel and conference centre Clarion Hotel Malmo Live, in Malmo Sweden.
The first day concentrated on BIM – Building Information Modelling. We heard about the Architect’s and the Contractor’s view on BIM. Market leaders within this BIM technology I-Theses, Precast Software Engineering, Tekla and Strusoft all informed the 80 participants of their view and development in this field.
The day also included a visit to the concert hall in the hotel and conference centre headed by the contractor Skanska.

On day two presentations were given on subject such as Slim floor construction with hollowcore, Transmission length and shear in hollowcore, CE-marking, Shear of hollowcore slabs with topping, Seismic performance of hollowcore, Project Holcofire update, fib recommendations update and EN1168 new revision update.  Before the start of day one and after the end of day two all delegates were invited to visit the OpenBIM Studio of BIM Equity A/S.
